Hey guys I have a 2000 ranger with a 4 inch lift on it and I need a new front driveshaft because the stock one is pretty fried, my question is does the superlift driveshaft from Stuffforyourranger.com just bolt on or do I have to alter the transfer case at all? The stock one has a wierd end and the new one looks like it just bolts onto it but the picture only shows the side view so its hard to tell. Thanks for any info guys.

The guy who put the lift on should have gotten it. Most people slack off and don't get it because they don't wheel it but the lift puts the stock shaft at a shitty angle. I'd go ahead and get it. Save yourself the aggravation.

Yeah I know he should have and because he didn't the thing is thrashed and at way to steep of an angle, im going to get it but the way it bolts on looks funny and doesn't seem like it would work with the stock part that the stcok shaft hooks to on the transfer case.

The Superlift shaft is a complete bolt-on part.....the 'weird' part you are thinking of is probably the adaptor. What the Superlift shaft is essencially a 95-98 Explorer front shaft that's been shortened and an adaptor added to mate to that funky ass front output on the tcase on 98+ trucks. I built my own using an explorer shaft, then shortened, and got the adaptor from the manufacturer, all for a total of about $300 using brand spankin' new parts. Can be done for about $200 using a junkyard shaft. Sure beats the $450-575 quotes I was getting for the Superlift shaft.

I always tell people that get a Superlift kit to ALWAYS carry an 8mm and whatever that torx size is for the front axle strap bolts. I had a would've been $250 tow bill because I didn't have my torx sockets. That rear joint on the front shaft goes, it's not too fun. Shaft binding on you making the entire front end feel like it's falling apart.
