I have a 94 , just replaced the left u joint now it's leaking gear oil . Do I have to removed the dif to replace the oil seal , or is thair a back yarder way. HELP:icon_confused::icon_confused:

Left when facing the truck or when in it, aka driver's or passenger's? If its the driver side, just pull the shaft, pry out the seal and pop a new one in. If it's the passenger side, then the diff needs to be pulled to get the c-clip off the shaft so it can be removed.

I'm assuming since you just did the u-joint it's on the driver's side, I can't imagine changing a u-joint with the axle in the truck.

Yup it's that EFFIN seal. My auto hub and frozen u joint took care of it. All over my damn driveway.

Atleast its the easy one to change, gotta pull the shaft out and replace the seal.

Yeah my drivers seal died on me offroading and split into 2 parts. made a heck of a noise with the alxe moving in the housing. You need to go to the parts store and rent of buy (I bought mine) the 4 prong tool to take the spider nut tool to get the nuts off and then your gonna have to take it all apart and pull the axle out and replace the seal which is like $10 or so.
