Front Crank Case and Valve Cover Leak Advice Needed ?

I have a 93 Ranger STX 4.0. I bought the thing new in 93 has almost 300k miles on it.

The front crank case and drivers side valve cover is leaking.

I'm looking for feedback advice on what brand gasket I should go with for both the valve cover and front crank case and when I do the front crank and its all apart already is there anything else I should deal with replacing at that time like timing Belt anything ?

Ive read some posts here saying Ranger don't do well with FelPro Gaskets they tend to leak

Anyone else want to chime in with there opinions or experiences ?

I've never had a problem with them. I don't care for the rubber gaskets and try to always use cork or paper..

for the valve cover gaskets i used felpro rubber. pretty decent set.
