Is the supports that hold the fenders on a ranger bolted to the cab or welded? I can get a ranger for cheap but had a deer hit and wondering if its worth it if the inner fender supports are bent up.

welded. 27 spot welds [ inner fender to cab] per side.

how hard would it be to change that then if you drill the spotwelds out?? really is it even worth doing it?

They are not difficult, as long as you can weld, watch for fire, and have basic body skills.

I've done 4 or 5 Ranger core supports/aprons.
The job is alot easier if the door/s are removed.

I replaced the core support and inner fender as one on my race truck. I bought a specialty spot weld drill bit for ~$15, it took about 20 minutes to do the drilling. I used sheet metal screws to attach the "new" core and they are still holding, but I would recommend welding on a street vehicle.
