Just asking questions, filling in my RBV knowledge for when my project begins in about two years (part collecting, long term).

Lets say that I wanted to convert my front clip on my truck (1993) to a newer one, lets say 2001+, what parts would I need to change/modify?

I already know that the hood, fenders, grill&lights, and rad support would have to be switched out. Bumper probably as well.

Also, what advantages are to be had from this? Does it give more engine bay clearance than my current clip?

Another thing, are the fenders on the 1998+ trucks.. higher than 1993?\

Ex: will it stick out below the current lowest part of the cab.

The hood, fenders, core support, header panel, headlights, parking lights, grill, and bumper will have to be replaced to do this swap.

There is no advantage doing this swap except for fooling everyone who drives by your truck that you have a newer truck.

Fender line up is exactly the same. The only difference in fenders is the front of them where the headlight/park light area is.

I thought it might gain an inch or so of clearance inside, because of how the hood bulges up more.

The hood has a rise in it on the outside, not the inside.

I did '94 to '06

Sorry, no pics...but I did update my 94 to an 06. Had to change inner fenders, fenders, hood, rad. support, grille, headlights, park lights, move the front cab mounts and re-weld, not to mention the headache of fabin a support so I could keep my 94 radiator! All in all if I had it to do over again I woulda just gone with a fiberglass conversion kit...such as the one from Perry's Fab-n-fiber...wouldn't need fender flares for a full-width SAS!
