Are center caps interchangeable from brand to brand? I have a set of pro comp alloys 15x8 1069. the front center caps are bulging and whatever is behind them is pushing through causing it to bulge/crack they are about a 1/4" too short. They fit and work just hate the bulge. Anyone else run into this problem? I have a set of caps from a 15x10 pro comp alloy that work fine, they just stick out way too far. Can I throw some caps for a 15x8 from MT or Ultra or any other brand for that matter?

EDIT: I thought I read on another thread that running 1/4"-1/2" wheel spacers would help. the only problem i can see running into, is having enough thread for the lug nuts to grip onto.

its the dust cover for the wheel bearings and spindle nut that is causing the buldge, you might try tapping on the dust cover with a hammer (softly) to try and get some clearance

thanks, do you know how much clearance there is between the dust cover and the spindle nut/ wheel bearing?
