truck wasnt starting just a few clicks and dash lights went on. almost started when tryed to jump. tryed putting a car battery in to see if it was the battery that was the problem but i put the pos cable on the neg and the neg cable on the pos, oooops , saw a spark and now no power nothing, no lights, etc. my cd player has a single wire that goes straight to the battery an seems to be the only power working in the truck.. just looking at a broke truck and cant go anywhere:icon_confused::shok:

It shouldn't have done anything worse than fry a relay or fuse. Check your manual for locations on your model.

Probably took out the fuseable links. Check the wires from the battery and the starter solenoid on the fender and see if any of them melted.

im pretty sure i scanned all the wiring pretty good and saw no signs of melting or anything, cleaned the battery connections as well, still nothing. i checked the wiring diagram in the haynes manuel but couldnt figure it out cuz i dont know what im looking for...

It's hit and miss. Some people have fried PCMs when hooking up the battery backwards. If your computer relay is not clicking on/off, this may be a good place to start, trace back and find out why. FWIW, The Haynes manuals for wiring are really horrible.
