frickin deer.

Haha yeah, my dad hit a deer on his motorcycle too, but he managed to keep it upright and going, but it bent the front forks and part of the front end.

This happened to me right after a friend nailed one in the head with his bike... We both kept them upright, he was doing about 80 and destroyed his fairing, I was going about 50, and since it ran into my leg I had a sore ankle and slightly messed up side cover. Pretty lucky.

Yeah, my family doesn't have good luck with deer. Our old red F250 we sold hit 5 or so, one hit IT. The 2000 F350 we have has his 7 if I remember right... but it had a grille guard, so that saved us many times.

I havent been lucky enough to plow a deer with my truck. We have a lot of deer where I live and some assholes that would like to jack a stereo from a truck. Both have happened to me in the past so I pay the extra for a $100 deductible on my comprehensive insurance. I figure it will cost more than $100 to fix any one of the front panels on the truck and I will end up lucking out by paying $100 for multiple panels to be replaced and painted.:headbang:

plane003.jpg
this isn't a very good pic(scanned from the local paper)but this is the plane that was hit by the deer, with the engine removed for replacement.

And after a pressure washer+butt load of degreaser!
That had to have been U G L Y !!!!

My worst (best?) deer story - I had a friend with a Fiat 124 spyder who hit a deer outside San Antonio. It flipped the deer up into his lap (top was down) Didn't kill the deer, so it starts kicking - broke several of his ribs. Better than the guy I know who ran into a cow with his Saab.

I've heard of "dinner to go," "fast food," and "food that sticks to your ribs" but that's nuts!

He's lucky the Fiat wasn't destroyed!

drove down to port clements this morning,at the middle of the island-43km.....didn't hit any deer, but there were three bodies on the highway.

Man - we got the feral hogs down here. Those suckers will take your car/truck OUT. You can't hardly drive down in South TX without finding them under the vultures. Since this is turning into the "What Animal Have You Hit?" thread - another buddy of mine hit a racoon and it completely ripped his parking brake cable off.

them hogs would scare me.....deer are stupid, hogs are mean.

The deer were there first. Frickin people. I say the same to all the BMW/Mercedes/Porsche owners whining around here when they have a claim. My M3 has taken two hits this year already. It's part of the budget.

deer weren't here first....fricken people brought them to these islands;they are what's called an 'introduced species'.time for people to take them away, maybe dump them on your front yard.

We just hit 1500 lb. moose and grizzlies, just another day in paradise folks.:icon_thumby:

them moose can really mess up your day, can't they!thank god there's none of those here.got some pretty big black bears, though.they like to suntan in the middle of the highway.always fun coming around a corner and having to hit the binders to avoid one of those.just about got a bald eagle through the windshield today-it was picking at one of the deer carcasses on the road and took off right in front of the van-can't believe it didn't land on my lap-it was real close.
