I just bought an 88 Ford Ranger XLT 4x4 Automatic (2.9) When I bought it on Wednesday it ran really well. I decided I was still going to change the oil, transmission fluid, filters, and ignition coil. (They replaced everything else.. wires, distributor, plugs) but left the old coil. I did all the work and then when I went to start it up, it ran okay but the idle is very poor. It dies within 30-45 seconds but starts again after 2-3 minutes. I put the old coil back on to see if the truck just didn’t like the new one. Same result. Ideas? I’m a intermediate level. Please explain it like I’m 15 😂

you may have broke a vac line or disconnected something....everything on the map sensor?

I made a smoke machine similar to this out of random nonsense laying around. Cost me 15 bucks for a propane regulator and fittings. Burn mineral oil on some cotton rags. It pumps smoke as good as my buddies professional unit. Best way to test for vacuum or valve leaks.
