HELP, I REALLY need somebody to help me troubleshoot my ZERO heat problem in my 1990 6 cylinder standard Ford Ranger. The fan WAS working, then it was sporatic then NOT AT ALL. The fuses are all good. Just need somebody to tell me in what order to check whatever. Thanks in advance for ANY ASSISTANCE...
P.S. I have a guy friend that will help me (boyfriend seems to be tooooooooo busy) but maybe "I" can help out by suggesting the "easiest" to the hardest things to check... NO offence to guys but ALLOT of you make fun at "research"...

Check the blower motor resistor it should be on the firewall in the heater duct. check clean the connector sometimes just pulling it off and putting it back on will work temporary but if that works clean the connector good and put some dielectric on the terminals to protect from moisture.

that will all be explained in the link in my previous post

Thanks Jim & kimcrwbr1 for the quick response. Too bizarre but I have already printed out your post re: blower motor diagnosis BEFORE I got any responses. I'll relay both of the messages to my buddy. Gotta go to work now. Have a GREAT DAY!!!

Far Out and Wayyyyyyyy Groovy...

:yahoo:
I FINALLY have heat. Thank's for all your help. My buddy actually followed your directions with MUCH SUCCESS!:icon_thumby:
