Freezing Rain!!!

Living in Wisconsin and driving 2wds for the past few winters, I'd agree that 4wd is better. But I'm stubborn and really like my 2wds, so I compensate with weight and driving technique. :icon_thumby:

trust me doesnt matter if you have 2wd 4wd or 27wd unless you have studded tires its not guna help on freezing rain

Haaaa...suffer....it is 72 here and sunny!!!! Haaaaaaa..going trail riding on the 4 wheelers with my buddy at noon and then going swimming to relax for awhile.........................haaaaaaaaaaa!!! lol

Did you guys get any snow over there? We got freezing rain and then a couple inches of snow over it here.

Drove the BII today and was coming across SE 44th in 2wd going up a hill with light throttle...then the rear in slid out one way, I corrected, then the other...at this point I realized I was just along for the ride! After a quick 180 without contacting anything I slipped in in 4HI drove to the nearest driveway and turned around and headed on in to work.

Ice sucks. FYI Pro Comp X-Terrains do so much better on rocks than ice!

We got a light dusting of snow around here at Tinker AFB and South OKC. Everything else is just covered in a thin layer of ice. I drove to work at 230 AM and the roads were just starting to freeze. By 530 AM, the roads turned into ice. One fun part was during the break, I spread my arms to form a sail with my coat. The wind just started to slide me across the ice.

I would have taken some photos. But I had my hands full just keeping the Ranger in a straight line.

LearjetMinako where do you work? I'm at Tinker in Bldg 3001. I live out at Shawnee. They had I-40 shut down this morning because of the number of accidents so I took SE 44th in.

Getting ready to go grab a bite to eat seeing how I haven't had breakfast.

I don't know if you guys remember the big ice storm that hit Quebec back in '98. Now THAT was freezing rain! lol.

I work at the Tinker Exchange store. I'm a night stocker, so my hours are from 0000~0830. I use to be the senior automotive mechanic for AAFES, till AAFES closed down that business and contracted it to Firestone. As for Bldg 3001, I know where thats at. How can I miss a 1/4 mile long building with E-3's in it.

I go to the BX but not during the hours that your there. LOL
