Pick this bad boy up today. A customer of ours gave it to me today. Nothing wrong with it mechanically, just got somebody rot. Thing runs great, 302/C6 combo with new exhaust from the heads back. Plans are cut the fenders, weld the rearend, throw some 35" hawgs on it I got laying around and abuse it till it doesn't move anymore. :icon_hornsup:

Hahahaha I can tell your not from Michigan, because you call that body rot. My dads 98 windstar has more body rust then that

dude...THAT'S BODY ROT?!?!?! Send that shit up here, I'll fix it up no prob....lol

heck, my 2001 focus almost has that much body rust already...

Didn't meen to offend all you rust belt guys :thefinger: I must say though that it's much worse in person. There isnt a body panel without a rust whole through it.

I learned my lesson about rust a while ago. Now I stay far, far away.

The trick is, don't poke your finger into a paint bubble to test it unless your tetanus series is up to date.

If I had to deal with rigs that rusty, I'd find a different hobby.
Hehe i have conteplated getting out of the hobby becaue of rust may times. In Michigan if the vehicles is over 5 years old you need a few extra tools to work on a car, torch(mapp gas or hotter), pb blaster, bfh, breaker bar, tool for stripped nuts and bolts, but off wheel, drill, ez outs. Its fun a 30 minute job can turn into a 2+ day job really quickly.

ya may favorite tool living up in the north contry of ny is the torch.. every rusty bolt on my truck has been basically cut an new ones installed if i had to work on something.. hell my leaf spring hangers rotted out on my 95 an my buddy has an 86 with the original hangers.. whats up with that..

Took it out wheelin yesterday and hydrolocked it, "it doesnt look that deep" I told my buddy as I stood on the gas. Damn near made it too.

An hour and a half later I was able to drive it out of the situation just barely. Then I proceeded to hook the Yakima rack with a tree and rip it off the roof tearing open a BIG rust hole. Then broke the passenger side mirror on another tree that also took off some of the "beauty" trim. So far I say it's working out pretty well. :D
