Hi all,
I just got an nice e-fan for the whopping price of one marlboro red. I'm also looking to ditch my AC comprosser, as my condensor is long gone and all my lines are junk. Will I need to find a bracket to eliminate the AC, or can I just go with a non-AC belt? Will improvements in power, mileage, or rev speed be noticable?

there is no "Non AC" A/C-P/S bracket for the 4.0

They just neglect to install the A/C compressor on top of the P/S bracket

yes! but you will lack that oh-so-neccessary A/C!

You aren't going to gain any power from removeing the AC compressor...its just freewheeling anyway. Just unplug the wire connector from the compressor and it will never come on again. And as for improvments with an efan, they will be slim to none.

Yea, i'm probably not going to gain any power here. The truck could use a fan clutch, its loud.

I have a fan and shroud, but no wiring. Is it worth the swap? Or would a stock replacement be safer?

My ac is all gone to hell. The lines are junk, and the condenser is gone. The compressor won't cycle with the button either. No quick fix there, excpet removing it all.

What do you guys think?

if your fans roaring it may be worth it if it fits. does it fit?
