Frank's new big block ranger

Engine getting bored over .30 this week dropped it off yesterday. Got transmission out. C6 is a heavy beast.
Going out of town for work all next week so I'll have all my parts waiting on me ready for assembly when I get back.
Found some modified aluminum Edelbrock heads reasonably. Shooting for 550 hp. I may fall short but should be well over 500.
Removing bed to install Calvert suspension, new Posi unit in the 9in and to paint the cab frame and under the bed.
Going to have to run side pipes because of my fuel tank set-up.
Moving right along. Now I'm in the money spending stage. Woo-hoo.

Please post pics of the tank set-up when you get the bed off. Dad's has the in cab tank, would like to conver it if I ever do anything with the truck.

Have the rear diff all apart right now getting ready for new Yukon Grizzly locker.... Calvert suspension is in.
I'll post pics stat.
BTW just bought a 93 Z71 4x4 to get me by for the winter..... it's awesome no rust and in great shape.

The factory rear tank setup is pretty crude anyone cld make one out of angle iron. They just blew a hole with a torch and covered it on bed.

Still got my Mazda work car.
Big block Is coming on. Had to get a road race deep sump oil pan like a mustang. Calvert suspension is bolted up. Posi is installed. Ready for paint.

Love that body style, I had a 3/4 ton 4x4 with the 390 in it when i was in high school 20 some years ago..(lol) that truck was unstop-able..
My grandpa Welded some patches in on the rear of the cab today. Getting all ready for paint.
