Found some weird things under my hood

First the hard pipe comes off of the air intake behind the headlight, the flexible hose connects to the exhaust. They were disconnected when i found them.... WTF?

On the drivers side wheel well a disconnected harness

And this is the one that has me stumped. Some type of reservoir attached next to the radiator on the driver side with vac lines hooks up and a missing cap....

Anybody know what this stuff is?

first pic.... thats a pre heat hose for cold weather starts, and yes it gose on the head shied of the exh manifold so that is right...

not every connecter is used on every truck.. may go to a higher trim package truck.....

third pic... thats your "charcoal can" yes the vent top is missing, yes it should have some vack lines to it... it abosorbes the gas vapors from the gas tank and then the purge valve will bleed them into the inlet air tract to be burnt....

Ok , so then should I reattach the hose?

And should I cap off that opening on the canister?

my canister has no caps lol

you dont need that tube from the exhaust manifold...

and that connector is for the transfer case on 4x4 versions

unless you're in california,then you need that pre-heater tube.

the top of that canister should have a tube running to the intake, or at least thats what it has on my truck and its a '92.
