found motor oil in my distributor

Ron I'm going to see if the wire coming off the range sensor has power or any voltage. if it does what would or how many volts should I look for.

It says 5volts here: http://www.auto-diagnostics.info/ford_eec_iv

pin30, but I don't see where it would come from in the wiring diagrams I have.

Could come from instrument cluster, it has 5v power supply, but not sure the '86 has shift position switch on the column?
Computer also has 5v output for sensor power, but don't see it at the NSS switch

ok did voltage checks.

for ignition switch its battery voltage in park and in drive its 6v

pip is 5v in park and drive
spout is 6v in park and drive.

wire going to pcm from range sensor is battery voltage in park and 6v in drive.

but i unplugged the map sensor to see what would happen. the engine stays running but misses badly and smokes badly. but doesnt die. and the solenoid ground doesnt come on.

looking at the ground for map and tps. they are slpiced together with a few other sensors. but those two are the only ones that make it so the test light doesnt come on. tps is new. so maybe ill try the map now.

Well Ron im at my wits end. I've decided to put it all back together and have a friend take it to the local college autoshop and have them fix it. Lol. I just can't do it. If you still willing to help ill have it for another month
