It's the reason why, when things on my truck go south, such as EGR, EVAP, converter, I don't bother fixing them. I fix what needs to be fixed to keep it running, such as cleaning a really dirty MAF yesterday, but don't sweat unnecessary junk. I don't know what was on my MAF, but that stupid spray wouldn't remove it. Had to swab it with q-tips and isopropyl alcohol to get it off. I have a cone filter, but it's stainless steel mesh, no oil. What was on it was brown and sticky. Weird
There's a lot of rat rods on the streets here, don't even have fenders. Open wheel. Guy in my neighborhood drives an old Willy's pickup, with a Keith Black Hemi, 10-71 blower, zoomies, open wheel front and back. No problem.
