Found a 2003 ranger but is it worth $5500???

Well i wrecked my 99 ranger in april and got nothing for the truck, so now i'm shopping for a new one and i think i might have found it. Everyones input is greatly appriciated!!! It's a 2003 Ranger 4dr 4X4 with a lil over 61,000 miles. i was able to talk the seller down to 5500 but he says he thinks the synchronizer for 2nd & 3rd gear needs to be replaced because he says it grinds a lil goin into 2nd & 3rd. Oh and the seller just put the stock rims back on it with better tires. Thanks in advance!!! and oh ya i already have $1000 ready to put down on it for a down payment! and I am having my mechanic go through it completely sometime during this week.

I'd go $3800, maybe, $4500. But $5500 under all that? I'd take a third opinion on this one.

i don't know holes in fenders= rust well at least in canada it does and not to mention its a 4x4 with a lift so you know its been beaten and who knows if its been taken care of im with the other guy on prices

How does a lift instantly brand it as beaten?

My cousins truck is lifted 8 inches, and has never been offroad.

His nearly stock brat however, has been beaten on trails more times than you can guess at.

Well.......... I suppose........IF it's fully loaded.......... I would consider it. 4x4's are always more $$$(most of the time)

I wouldn't pay 5500 for that and the seller won't take 3500 so move on
