Well latest small mod. This really is easy to do. U just screw, with screws.

Here is my new seat. Forgot to take a photo of both seats in. I had to use impact wrench an literally power a new threaded hole as the seats line up perfect, but the bolt holes on insides of chair are thinner and outsides seem thicker. Not sure year of mountaineer but I'll be having fun splicing wires as I was the auto dimming rear view mirror to work, enough here's photos.

wow, i thought that was some kinda plush work bench!! lol, jk.
nice looking improvements for sure. my overhead light is just one of those multiple led's with a magnet on the back. hasn't fallen off and hit me yet, but i'm waiting for that to happen.
 
Power is working in seats. I'm going to add as much of a detailed walk through as I can since this is an extremely over posted question.
Also I got visors, overhead console, and auto dimming rear view mirror. I will hook power up to those and show photos of all splices, what wires, where I spliced, and where each wire is run to.
