Hey folks, Fordman here. Been gone a while. Saw the posts about the Rangers, and as for a big block Ranger, not sure I was first but in 89 I built mounts, and set a stroker 460 in an 88 Ranger S model. While I didnt finish it, it was built in my shop for a customer out of Louisville Ky. I found it to be tight, but do-able. I did take it a stroll up the county road I lived on then. The fellow I did it for, had a shop tub it, beef the frame, narrowed 9 inch, ready for engine. In 1990 I got activated and sent to the Gulf war where I was injured. I returned home, my shop all but folded, and went to work at Cummins in the testing and research area. Currently work on the big rig test trucks, and drive them all over. Retiring in a few months. Glad to see everyone still building the Rangers. Jim, awesome job on the site.
