Ford Ranger Raptor Spied In Michigan

Autoblog.com has recently posted photos of a new Ford Ranger Raptor spotted driving in Michigan with Michigan license plates.

The truck in these spy photos looks exactly like the truck that debuted in Thailand. It's even right-hand drive, meaning this is a global truck rather than a modified version of the U.S. model. Like the F-150 Raptor, the Ranger Raptor has a lifted suspension, wider fenders, different bumpers and some aggressive rubber.

You have to wonder why Ford brought one here to the states. Hopefully their studying it for the North American market.

At least two in the states which is extra fishy, don't forget the one on a westbound trailer in Oklahoma a few months ago. That one was left hand drive they are not the same truck.

I'd be happy with the 2.7 EB from the F-150 with 400 LB FT. Unfortunately, I don't think we will get a Ranger Raptor until at least the 2020 model year, if ever. And if we do I predict it will be powered by a higher output 2.3 EB as compared to the base engine from the non-Raptor Rangers. Only in-line engines for all Rangers. Too bad Ford doesn't have any twin cam inline sixes.

jumping the gun here, the Wildtrack that was spotted today in Michigan was in Dundee. the Speedway gas station to be exact. that's right on US 23 and about 45 minutes from Dearborn. "camo clads" are frequently seen in this area.

Autoblog spotted it, either Thursday or Friday judging by the gas prices at the station. it's right hand drive configuration. they have an article about it in their spyshots section.
