TRS Event Ford Ranger 40th Anniversary - Truck Nationals - Carlisle PA

Yikes...

Can you just bring your own ez-up. I paid less then $250 for mine.

I suppose that might not be a good idea though. One good gust of wind and have that thing blow into a bunch of show vehicles wouldn't be good.

Going back and looking at this, it looks like we need 15 people registered to get a tent, but 25 if we want the tent for free. If we have less than 25 people they are renting the tent to us for $250.
$250… that better be a big tent!

I’ve got a 13’ x 13’ EZ up that we can use for a grand total of $0.00.

WoW. You guys must check this site more times than I check my email.
I do own a 1998 Range and in reality I would like to come out and enloy a day in the sun.
I have family near Hanover so that part is taken care of.
Tickets at the Carlisle Truck Nationals internet site is pretty clear.
What you are asking here, signing up under TRS is the confusing part.
I come here for answers. I'm not a "BIG Participant" with answers.
BUT, if someone would clear the air about what TRS members are expected to do, you might get a few more participants. I say that because my truck is in NO WAY a show truck !

Primarily, we're just entering as a "club". Be able to park close together, hang out, talk trucks and whatever and have a good time as a group. You're not expected to do anything except clean up your own trash. It's an opportunity for members of the forum to meet face-to-face and enjoy the truck show together.

From Carlisle:

'Hi Jim,

You would only have qualified for a club tent if you got 25 members registered by Gate-N-Go, which was yesterday. The 15 registration makes you eligible to purchase a club tent. You are correct that you would be renting a 20x20 tent and you would be allotted space to park around that tent and be listed on our event map. If you want to get a tent, I would need to have the form turned in today!

At this moment, you have 16 people registered under the Ranger Station! If you hit 25 members at the conclusion of Truck Nationals, you would get a free club tent next year"

I guess the other benefit is that we'll show up on their event map.

Here is an example of the club set-up from the last time I was at truck nationals 10 years ago with the FTE website group.

That’s a pretty decent sized tent, I assume they set it up for you as well.

I'm guessing since they map out the clubs they put the tents where they want them.

20x20 tent

We can put up our own tent, but we'd have to take it down at night and find a new place to put it up and gather the next day.

As of Wednesday morning they had 16 people registered for the event under The Ranger Station.

Update On The Club Tent:

I was under the impression that we would get a free club tent after we had 15 people registered. Apparently we were eligible to RENT a club tent for $250.00 if we had 15 people. If we got 25 people by the deadline we would have gotten the tent for free. If we still end up getting 25 people by the show we're eligible for a free tent next year.

We contemplated the cost of the tent versus just bringing our own tent and not paying for one.

Here's the advantages of their tent:

1) It's a 20-foot tent that will be in a permanent location all weekend.

2) The Ranger Station Club Tent will be listed on an event map that will enable other Ford Ranger fans to find us during the show.

3) We will have an established area assigned to us so we're not trying to regroup every day.

I decided to take the hit and pay the $250. @snoranger offered to pay it but I don't think it would be fair for him to pay all of that.

If anyone going wants to contribute to the tent cost you can paypal me at jim@therangerstation.com

Thanks!
