Hello,

Ford part numbers are driving me nuts.

I want to replace a camshaft synchronizer in my 1999 Ranger 3.0 V-6 (VIN code V for flex fuel). I really want to use a real Ford Part and not the Dorman’s aftermarket. Every Ford part site that I go to lists 1-3 that I can choose from, but don’t know which is the right one.

My existing one has the casting numbers F58E-12131-AB on it.

Can anyone help identify the correct Ford part number for this?

Thank you.

According to Rock Auto, the Motorcraft part number (which I'm sure has been updated more than once since 1999) is F8DZ12A362AA. They have the Motorcraft unit for 95 dollars. It also goes by the part number DA2089.

Thank you for the info. I just ordered it.

I have always been a Ford ( and Harley) guy since day one. I can't tell you how many 70's to 80's pickups I've had with 351w's 390's etc. Simpler back then. But you would think that Ford would finally put out a site where you can just access Ford part numbers by plugging in year model engine maybe VIN , whatever.

Thanks again
