Are the ford 2.3l and the mazda 4 cylinder the same? My engine is getting a little tired along with the rest of the truck and I'm looking for build or rebuild options?

Does anyone know the actual compression of a healthy 2.3l in psi (like 120psi?)

healthy 2.3l puts out at least 150psi..

2.3l ford and mazda engines are the same

Yes mazdas are almost identical to ford rangers in every way except the rims and front/rear lights basically. Interior and frame/chassis is exactly the same.

little more detail, Rangers and mazda B series are the same from '94 and up

and good compression is 150+, 180 is in good shape, at 120 something is worn or someone put turbo pistons in...
