Just put another carb on the 81 F-100, it s a 4180 Ford rebuild. Its loading like crazy at an idle but runs fine out on the road.
There is no adjustment on the metering block like a regular holley to tweak the mix.How do you set the friking thing?

If it is a factory ford carb then the idle jets are in the bottom plate of the carb. I don't remember the size of the allen hex either.

So you have to take it off.............tweak it ...........put it back on and run it to check the adjustment?
Thats jacked up.

No actually you don't. It is kind of a PITA but you can do it without taking it off. Go buy a set of long allen wrenches and you should make it where you want to be. Once you get there turn the screws in and then back them out 1 1/2 turns.

Thanks!
Ill check it out on the old one I took off.
