ford 8.8 limited slip

i want to put a ford trac lock in my 04 edge. its got an 8.8 rear end in it and i was looking on summit and they dont list one for that year truck and neither does ford. will an older one fit? i dont need a locker and was looking just for a little extra traction when launching my boat. i plan on getting a used one at a junkyard and rebuilding it so total cost should be 100 bucks.

well, i have one.... the only problem is that i was going to sell it to someone else on trs, but i realized its missing the cross pin and the two spider gears that go on the cross pin. its the carrier, ring and pinion (3.55), has side bearings, caps, pinion bearing, flange, clutches.... you might be able to use the spiders and cross pin from your current diff, but i dont know if they are the same for sure on a l/s vs non-l/s.

All Ranger 8.8 axles are the same '93-'09, so one from another year should fit your truck fine.

i wonder why they didnt list them for my truck. the 2010's and 11's wont have the option of l/s.

because of traction control..... that was their excuse anyway.
