i have a set of 4:56 gears for a 7.5 that I bought with a carrier but is there any difference between a stock carrier????? i need to know i have a race coming up and i need to get my racer done lol.

I believe all the stock carriers are the same... they don't have a size jump like most the Dana carriers do..

a carrier that houses 3.45s or 3.73's should be able to work with 4.10's, and 4.56's....

You will want to make sure you have a good notched pin, mine was notched in my 3.73 carrier, but wouldnt make it past the 4.10 ring gear.

Notched pins are weak. Clearence the tooth on the ring gear instead. I did and still managed to break the full un-modified crosspin, prbably would have broke a nothed one much quicker.

ok cool i have the one with the gears but they are welded and i just blew out apart so i dont want one anymore

A factory notched cross-pin thats been hardened after cut should be pretty tough...

I was going to notch my ring gear, but it looked like I was going to have to have to take way to much off the 2 teeth
