Ford 2.3 88-89 cylinder head casting #'s

Does anyone know the Ford casting #'s on the 88 -89 ranger roller cam 4 plug cylinder head. Thanks .

If you read the sticky post about the 2.3 lima, you will find that the changes were to the valve stem diameter, but not much else. Later engines had a combustion chamber change, again, from the sticky.

From what I have read, the cam and roller followers can be installed into a non-roller head without problems. I'd consider doing it, but have only seen one listing on c-list for a cam & followers and it was quickly pulled by the poster.(dunno why)

Oh, I can't answer the question you posted. I do not think it matters. If you have a cam & followers that fit the valve stem diameter, it should work.
