Look for a fastener store other than Fastenal, their prices look good until you factor in shipping. When I did mine I went with the fastener company we use at work, had the purchasing guy call in and look into washers with a 1 3/8" hole which is in fact a 1 1/4" washer (go figure...), they had non coated (IE not galvanized or anything, just raw steel) steel washers that were 1/8" thick for about $.25 each and they delivered them for free since they had them in stock... Given this was over 5 years ago but I imagine they are similar...

Apparently just in the city I work in there are 3 fastener shops not including Fastenal, so I imagine it is similar in other areas...
