I have responded to a couple individual posts, But I think its time to share with the masses.
Florida is alot of flat open ground, loose woods, and swampland. Because of this the prefered method of wheeling is the larger more powerful trucks. Ranger of all types tend to go for alot cheaper down there. Especially Gen 1-3.
You can find rolling chassis', or fully built v8swaps. What you wont find alot of is suspension built rangers. And I rarely ever came across an SAS. 90% are virginsuspension rangers. Central Florida is where I foudn the highest concentration, maybe cuz I know where to look, but I found 3 rangers in Florida, good condition less than 2k dollars for every 1 I found here in TN and GA.
There was a 1999, with 6 inch lift 35 inch m/t's in factory showroom condition with a blown motor for 1500.00
So if you can afford to travel a little, and are looking for a project, 80%of the time a rust free project, Check out the classifieds down there.
Ocala4sale and craigslist/ ocala
Hopefully this will help some of us who are strugglign to find cheap quality.
By the way, the 1992 4 cyl 2wd red truck that I posted about 9 months ago only cost me 450 and I drove it to school for a year, 40-60 miles a day depending on errands.
