If electrical fans are so inferior to mechanical fans, and since you say all vehicles that have the engine setting the correct way (front of engine at the front of the car), how come Subaru didn't put one on my Legacy?

Maybe put this in a PM? Your obviously calling him out?

I want everyone else to see it also.

there are lots of vehicles with longitudinally mounted engines (otherwise known as the "correct way") that use electric fans from the factory, such as v-6 mustangs, some chebby pickups, and others. the advantages of an e-fan in these low power applications is reduced NVH, and lighter construction.

the disadvantage of an e-fan is that they cannot move as much air as a mechanical fan.
