Foot Pedal Bracket

I took my 97 ranger w/ manual trans to get the master cylinder replaced and when they were done finishing the install they noticed that the bracket that holds the pedals to the firewall was cracked all the way up. The bolts still hold it all together but it flexes a lot when you push it in. The price for a new bracket is $90 but it comes with the pedals and all. Have any of you happened to find the bracket somewhere or do you have any ideas about fixing the one on it. It looks like "pot metal" aluminum and usually that stuff doesn't take to welding well. :shok:

$90 factory new for that assembly doesn't sound bad.

But you really need to fix it because on a 1995-up the master cylinder
doesn't mount to the firewall at all, but DIRECTLY to the pedal bracket.

Look at the bright side, you get new pedal pads in the deal:)
