Hey,
New guy here. The FNG. Lets see. I drive a 1998 Ranger 2wd manual. Forest green XLT. Love that damn little truck. Only one downfall. That 2.5L wasn't used for very long. So not many tips on how to get that little extra power out of it. If you got any ideas let me know.

Also if you want to know more about me let me know.

the 2.5 is just a stroked version of the 2.3 used between 89-97....so most aftermarket parts made for the 2.3 will also fit the 2.5.

that said, its still a 4 banger with fairly small displacement...you'll only get so much out of it without forced induction.

look at regearing your axles, maybe an underdrive pulley (if they make it for the 2.3/2.5), and a tuner. if that doesnt do it for you...you'll probably want to go FI.
