I know I need to change my yoke on the driveshaft end of the ranger to a bigger yoke for the v8 tranny's.. But are the U joint sizes the same? If so what size is the fmx yoke and I think there are 3 different lengths I have found so far, does length matter?

Thx,
CK.

Also wondering about the hole in the tailshaft assembly on this tranny. I assume its a speed sensor? Or something to do with shift timing? I know the round modulators are a vacuum that allows the trans to shift ya? But what can I do with this hole in the tailshaft, I have the same sensor in my A4LD but I assume that it wont work in a v8 trans?
