FM146 problems

I just bought a FM146 from a Guy says that you have to hold it in 4th to get it to stay in gear. Has anyone had this problem i was wondering what to look for when i tear into this trans. thinking maybe the shift fork might have been bent is this common on these trans. Also there dose not seem to be any syncro kits for sale just baring.

Have you ever rebuilt one of these before? It is a little bit of a pain. I have never seen a bent shift fork on them. And if you are looking at buying the rings I have an extra set at the house if you need them.
