FM145 bolt specs

Can anyone tell me how long the bolts are for the FM-145 transmission to engine bolts? I know they are 10mmx1.5 thread but don't know the lengths. I need to order some as mine have gone missing.

Anybody? I can't find the lengths or a set of bolts for sale anywhere. My B2 project has ground to a halt until I can find a set or the specs so I can order some grade 8's.

I'm sure someone knows this and can offer it faster but if not...you might be able to find the specs in the online manual. There is probably two different length bolts involved from what I remember of the last time I removed a transmission.

The FM-145 from what year and engine?

Ah! I'll take a look. Thank! It's out of an 87 Bronco II with the 2.9L. It's going in an 89 BII with a 2.9L.

I can't believe I can't find the bolts! I put everything in labelled bags!

well, I just went through the online manual and it did not include any detailed diagrams of the transmission...meaning no bolts indicated.

If you know they are 10mm 1.5 thread then you can probably tell the length by measuring the holes if they are dead ended. If they are open ended It would be safe to say any length will work as long as it doesn't interfere with anything.

I've used thin screw drivers to measure hole depths and then added the thickness of the attached part body to figure out what length on things like my alternator brackets and exhaust manifolds.

As long as you don't get the exact size and find the hole is not threaded all the way you should be able to secure the transmission or any other part appropriately.

Damn. Well, thanks for looking. Much appreciated. I'll try what you suggested if I can get access. The engine is in the truck and I don't want to pull it, so most of the bolts have very tight access. I might try some chicken wire.
