fm 146

does anyone know if i need the shift extender for a 3inch body lift for my fm146 the pa body lift for my 88 ranger says if you have manual get part pra-3700 and in parenthesis it says (Mazda transmition only).

fm146 is the mitsubishi trans. I think it had a longer shaft on the shifter. if it says mazda only then I would think you are ok. if not you'll have to lean over to shift untill you get the extension

lol it will not bother me because i sit close to the shifter any way because im kinda short

i have an fm146 too, if you look under the shifter boot, the stick is straight for about 3-4 inches. i thinkin you'll be fine

no, you should have a square-ish plastic piece on the bottom that is held down by 4 screws. just move the shifter boot out of the way and you'll see them.
