I need to change fluids in the following in my 86 B2.

Front and rear axels
Transfer case
Tranny

Does anybody have recommendations? My manuals recommend Ford products and I would like other recommendations.

Thanks! Rick

axels hypoid 80-90. transfer I believe you use ATF Dexron and depending on the tranny type mitsibishi uses 80w and the mazda toyo uses mercon ATF.

Thanks kimcrwbr1!

Anybody else have any brand favorites?

I use Mobil 1 ATF in the t-case (and manual tranny in my son's Mustang), Mobil 1 gear lube in the rear axle, Valvoline in the front because on a late-model the suction machine at the Valvoline Qwicky Lube is the only way to do it, auto tranny gets whatever the Ford dealer flushes it with.

Basically you won't go wrong with Mobil 1, Red Line, or Royal Purple. That being said, if you off-road and get the axles underwater a lot then there is no point in using expensive synthetic axle lube because you will be changing it so often. Just get whatever cheap store brand stuff you find.
