Hey gang

I have a 2002 Ford Ranger V6 Edge.

I have had a brake fluid leak, that is leaking from my rear driver's side. The brake light comes on, and drains fluid like crazy. Any idea what it might be? It seems like it is coming from the brake itself, and NOT a hose. Could it be the bleeder screw, or is that unlikely? Any idea what that would take to fix? Thanks in advance

Chad

The cylinder that sits inside of the drum is most likely junk, if that's the problem, it's a cheap fix.

If you have to replace the rear wheel cylinder, be sure to use an actual line wrench and not just an open ended one for the brake line. A rusty brake line to the rear cylinder can also turn into a PITA real fast, too. Common problem though, pull drum and just look. Drums can be stubborn too if they have not been removed for some time.
