2000 Ranger, 2WD, no cruise. I replaced the master cylinder with a Fenco NM3071. The new master cylinder comes with the o-ring for the control or proportioning valve that threads into the side of the master cylinder.

After reassembly, the joint where the valve attaches to the master cylinder leaks a little. Thinking the master cylinder or o-ring were bad, I did it again - new master cylinder, new o-ring. It's better now, but it still leaks.

I emailed Fenco, they weren't much help, said it "can't leak". I'm wondering if the o-ring might be slightly undersize for the application.

Anyone have this problem before? Any thoughts on how to fix it?

Thanks.
