got one installed today :yahoo: just a SISO, i don't have the bucks to throw down on a dual system, but i'm very pleased with how this came out. i knew i wasn't gonna get the volume that i would like but it's decently loud enough and you can't beat the tone it's got. i love that nice, deep, throaty tone Flowmasters have.

here's the muffler installed with brand new 2.25 piping. way better than the stock 1.75 :headbang:

here's where that bad boy is dumped out at with a nice, beefy tip on the end of it :icon_thumby:

I like the angle that it comes out at. Is that an oval tip or is it just the angle that makes it look like that?

did that come as a kit?

i went to a local custom exhaust shop and told him what i wanted. he keeps an inventory of flowmaster mufflers and an immense amount of tubing as well as tips at his shop so he's able to do whatever he's asked for.

no, it's an angle cut tip. beefy as shit too lol

Very nice setup. Give it sometime and it will get better sounding, once some miles are put on to work in the sound from the engine. It will be quiet in a way due to going with 2.25 pipe. It will sound good and looks good.

thanks, man :icon_thumby: i went with the 2.25 tubing to help the engine breathe a bit better, you know? i figure i should see at least a slight horsepower and fuel efficiency improvement with this exhaust setup.

ya can get it as a kit from autoanything.com.
i gave $230 for mine and it included the mufler, mid. pipe, and rear section, and the clamps.

my stock 99 4.0 had 2" pipe stock, are you sure its 1.75"?

Id like to hear it, I had a flowmaster super 44 on my explorer with cats deleted, and this is what it sounded like (actual Clip of my old Ex)

I dont have it any more I sold it after I moved back up to Alaska but it was same piping with a super 44 put on with a 3 inch tip and both cats deleted and it was a 95 OHV 4.0L v6. I am thinking Im going to have the same set up put on my 94 Ranger except exit the exhaust out the side Lightning style with a longer tip and go to a 3.5 inch instead of 3.
