I am planning on getting a flowmaster 40 series for my 96 4.0 ranger. My question is will it make a big difference if I just cut off the old muffler and put on the new one:icon_welder: and leave the old exhaust pipe instead of putting on new pipe? Besides the muffler the only other pipe I would put on would be tips for looks. thanks

IMO it sounds much better with a 2 1/2" tail pipe VS the stock 2".

How much would repipeing from the cat back run. I just dropped 600.00 on new tires today so price is an issue.

getting new pipe hung varies soooooo damn much....it really depends on the shop and the mood of the guy writing up the quote. lol. I got my catback done in 2.5" installed(i supplied the muffler and tip) for $150.

oh....and from my experience, on the 4.0L OHV, Delta Flow 40 hands down. On a 4.0L SOHC, Super44 hands down.
