Ive got a 97 Ford ranger and ive recently had to replace the tailpipe and muffler. I didn't want to spend alot so i grabbed a glass pack and a tail pipe. As many know there was and offset to the original muffler and the meant my tail pipe and glass pack hung way to low resulting in my brake line melting. So now ive gone and bought an OE replacement which cost me about 85$. I get home and it looks like a tomato can and it dosn't have a hanger. So now im looking into getting a non rounded muffler. that will fit my stock 2 inch piping. My quetion is will this -> http://www.jegs.com/i/Flowmaster/389/942041/10002/-1 work? it says 2 inch inlet and outlet but in the ID or OD? also any other recomandations will be appreciated.

Well the stock size i believe is 2-1/4, at least thats what it is on my 97 2.3L ranger, but i think that muffler would work
