Floor options ?

I am redoing and patching my floor boards. I have about four spots about the size of a dollar bill to patch up! I like the sound deadening of the carpet , but really like the whole rubber easy to clean thing too. Im wondering if I can have my cake and eat it too, soundproofing of some sort under a rubber floor. anyone have a rubber floor in their vehicle? how is it for warmth , sound , heat ?

I live in Michigan and it gets muddy then snow then more mud and then three months of great weather !

Also what do you treat the floor boards with after repairing them, paint, bed liner, por 54 ect.? I thought maybe some of that thick farm implement paint , even on the underneath !

This rubber mat I got from ACC comes with jute just like the carpets do. YOu may want better sound deadening than this . . but if you get it from ACC it does come with it.

that looks pretty good ! Ill have to check into that. Does it reach all the way into the back seat area? how about cargo?

I checked out their web site , nice. you can get all kinds of different types of sound deadening material. I didn't know the floor was vinyl though, I always assumed it was rubber!

don't bedline it... it doesn't deaden sound and it gets HOT from the exhaust and stuff

yeah, the sound deadening panels/pads with actual custom fit rubber floor are ideal for us here in the salt belt.

for us salt belters running the rubber over the sills and up the pillars/walls is key to keep the floor waterproof.

or make it simply easy to completely remove to clean the floors and air it out on occasion and repaint so the dollar bill patches are minimized.
