I installed my flip kit on one side today (been sick all week but had to do something even if i shouldnt and it was slow going). I got the driver side put together but have a couple of questions, first and least worrysome is that there is a gap between the bottom of the axle and the flip kit, everything is properly seated where it should be though. I googled it and saw a picture of a similar gap but couldnt open the page to find out what was up, this is on an 86 2.3 5speed regular cab fyi, wasnt sure of i needed to worry about that or not since i have seen a couple others with the same gap. The one that worries me is the plate for the u-bolts has a gap at the bottom because the hole in the plate doesnt line up with locating pin (i did flip the bolt/pin like you are supposed to so its actually the bolt and nut that isnt goong through the hole) whats the deal with this, i tried spinning the plate but no luck and with the offset design of the flip kit i dont know how it ever could line up. But like i said i have been sick for awhile and am not thinking straight so hopefully somebody will straighten me out, i am not driving the truck right now anyways but would like it be right and ready when the time comes (hopefully soon).

Can you get a pic or a link to the kit? I made my own kit but have no experience with store bought.

Also should say i put a 2inch block in with it but that shouldnt move the anything backwards (with the flip kit installed with the hole in the kit towards the fron the plate on the bottom would have to shift forward i would guess avout an inch to line up with the pin).

Im sure i will look at when i feel better and realise whats happening but i am hoping someone can save me the headache.

I read at djmsuspension.com that their kit moves the axle back about 3/4". Is that what you may be missing?

I expected that but in doing so the bottom plate no longer lines up properly with where the locating pin is.

Finally got their instructions to load and see they say i need to drill a new hole in the plate which makes since but none of the install how tos mentioned that from what i remember. Not a big deal thats what i was debating doing anyways
