does anyone know if a flex plate off a 2004 3.0 will work on a 1993 3.0 i have searched here and the web and can not find out anything

2004 is distributorless. There should be other differences among those engines. But the best way to find out is to put one over the other and make sure all of the gear teeth line up exactly as well as all the holes for the bolts that hold it to the engines crankshaft. Then put them next to each other and make sure they are both of the same thickness.
If You want to be more precise use a Caliper Gauge.

being distributorless sould have nothing todo with the flexplate i got my answer from ford. they the same
