hi i recently got some Gabriel front shocks from an explorer at the junkyard, i put them on and saw that they are flexed all the way in. is it fine if i run my shocks like this?

Those look like the shocks from a later-model SLA-IFS truck.

No they definitely will not work well like that. You need room for the suspension (shock) to move upward when you hit bumps (at best running then like that will damage the shocks, at worst it'll cause your shock mount(s) to break off). You'll need to find the shocks off another TTB truck like yours (or purchase a set that is made for your truck).

I just had to rethink some jeep shocks I got for a steal on the front for the same reason. got some stock ones from advance for 20$ a piece. figured that would get me through til I get the new springs in and the front lifted.

you probable wouldn't be happy first time you hit a bump hard

i got another 2 front shocks from a 91 explorer and they work great now, thanks
