i found a kit that converts a toyota to a flat bed

does anyone know if this would possibly work with a little fab work on a ranger, or if anyone has done it before

I don't see why it wouldn't work. Of course, for a little fab work, you could make your own and save a lot of money.

Yeah, I don't really see the cost justification with going with this kit. From the pictures, I looks like the 'yota frame comes up kinda high in the rear, but with a little fab work, I'm sure that you could adapt it to a ranger...

so you are paying $500 for a couple of pieces of bent tubing.
Seriously, build something custom, you can make something far more badass than that for a fraction of the cost.

well considering a good dom bender hand made at that and dies will be a minimum of 300 bux most of the time, the kit is rather cost effective for someone remotly located without access to a dom tube bender. also remotely located is tough to buy cost effective tubing too. tubing isnt cheap these days, and deliveries are way up.


but a hf bender and sch 40 would probably net similar results for 250 bux provided you already have the welder or a way to get it welded.

I have a flatbed frame if anyone is interested. 7' long by 6' wide. Heavy solid tube bumper, taillights and a 2" receiver for a class 3 hitch. Includes a mesh headache rack. Needs modifications to fit my supercab and I just found another bed to replace my smashed one so either I sell the flatbed or the stock bed.
