First time truck owner - "New" Ranger

Howdy!

Just wanted to say hello with a brief introduction. First truck I've owned and excited to learn more about what I've got.

Just picked up a 2008 extended cab. 2wd, 3.0L V6. Auto. 140k miles.

I've got a little bit of a leak in the lower oil pan gasket. so I'll be attempting a gasket change in the near future. Also discovered shortly after purchasing that while the blower is strong, hot air doesn't work. Maybe need a new heater core? Bought this short notice, after my daily driver was totaled and I needed to get back on the road again quickly.

I think I'd like to give it a 3" body lift once I fix oil leak and any other more important repairs. Coworker of mine is a ranger fan and said it's a super cheap( $+/-200.) and easy project to do a lift.

Going to be cruising the archives to learn more about my truck and look forward to talking with you folks.

nice looking truck...lifts are not hard to do but the oil pan seal might be a bit more work...some engines you need to atually lift them to remove the pan and that can be a process...all doable by all means...I have to do one myself and left it till last...

I think depending on where you live and the winter driving conditions is a big factor in how long these trucks will last...as well as how much care you take to remove the salt of prevent t from accumulating...

There are many on here that can help with what you plan...I do hope the lack of response on the welcome is not too discouraging...it's been a bit slow around here...
