I too have a 1994 Ranger, 4.0l, 5-speed, 4x4, no lift
Been a good reliable truck, pushing 400k
Only word of advice is DO NOT let engine overheat, you WILL crack a head.
And reverse heater hoses at the firewall once a year, heater core is easy to change and not expensive for '94 but reversing flow will make it last longer, you don't have to drain the system just swap hose positions
